My "historical" regency romance including the young Queen Victoria by Highland Press
Thanks for stopping by to look at Writer of Queens!
I started this site for 2 reasons:
1.) I love to write and my work is now becoming published---and so for obvious reasons it would be a good idea to have a place of my own on the web...
2.) I love royalty, Queen Victoria--all queens, infact---their lives and loves, where they lived and how they lived...the legacies they left, their children. I love to dig deep and find the unknown tidbits of their lives and I love bringing them to life...in my own mind, and also now, to yours.
If there is anything you'd like to see, please let me know. I spend a lot of time researching and building up my royal library with old biographies, new biographies, picture books and memoirs.
Take a look at the links if you'd like to find out more about writing...or about royalty! And please see my "sister" blog called QUEEN VICTORIA REVEALED.

Wow! What a fantastic blog! I just found your blog and I'm so impressed with all the information on Queens and so much more. I have a blog on Josephine where I write reviews and different interesting things about the 18th century; people, lifestyles...Come visit me at www.enchanted.blogspot.com
Hello! I just saw the new Victoria movie, and I'm dazzled! (being from America I know virtually nothing about her)I've been the university library and taken out books on her letters, Albert's letters, and a 'selection' of her journal entries up until 1840, but cannot for my life find anything after that except for a few months in the highlands. I was wondering if you could direct me to any publications of her journals which present the early years of her marriage. Thanks!
I wish I could tell you there is a certain book you could get that chronicles their early life together...but there is not. Stanley Weintraub has done great biogs of them both...but their marriage is only discussed in parts of the books. Cecil Woodham Smith wrote another good one on Victoria and Monica Charlot did as well. Victoria also published her Highland Journals which covers some of their married life...you would have to try to purchase a used copy. If you want more information, please contact me again and I will try to give you more. Sarah Ferguson put out a book with Benita Stoney about their life at Osborne House which is great, though. Its expensive...but worth it, I think. There will be a new book coming out in May called WE TOO---by Gillian Gill...however, I don't know how good it will be.
