Hello! I just saw the new Victoria movie, and I'm dazzled! (being from America I know virtually nothing about her)I've been the university library and taken out books on her letters, Albert's letters, and a 'selection' of her journal entries up until 1840, but cannot for my life find anything after that except for a few months in the highlands. I was wondering if you could direct me to any publications of her journals which present the early years of her marriage. Thanks!

I wish I could tell you there is a certain book you could get that chronicles their early life together...but there is not. Stanley Weintraub has done great biogs of them both...but their marriage is only discussed in parts of the books. Cecil Woodham Smith wrote another good one on Victoria and Monica Charlot did as well. Victoria also published her Highland Journals which covers some of their married life...you would have to try to purchase a used copy. If you want more information, please contact me again and I will try to give you more. Sarah Ferguson put out a book with Benita Stoney about their life at Osborne House which is great, though. Its expensive...but worth it, I think. There will be a new book coming out in May called WE TOO---by Gillian Gill...however, I don't know how good it will be.
